FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
After the initial free 30-minute consultation (in-person, or by video chat), there are two service paths that the customer will choose: In-person or Remote. In-person costs $50 for an hour session, and takes place at a mutually-agreeable location. Remote costs $30 for a 30-minute session, and is done over the phone, by Skype, or by Google Hangout. If you refer someone who becomes a paid customer (i.e. meets with me for the free consultation AND at least one more session), I'll be super grateful, and will give you a $30 credit to be applied to your next session.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
We start with the initial free consultation, which takes place in-person or by video chat (whichever the client prefers). In the first consultation, I listen to the client's goals and challenges, and help the client pinpoint the underlying issues which deserve the most attention. By the end of that first session, we will have discussed and explored some key issues, and developed some practical goals to pursue initially. The client will also decide on either the In-person or the Remote service path, as well as the frequency of subsequent appointments (I typically recommend between once and twice a month, but this can vary). As we continue to meet, the client and I will review progress on the client's goals, explore successes as well as obstacles to those goals, and refine goals as needed.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
When it comes to formal education, I completed a Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology from Brigham Young University, and a Master of Public Policy degree from The George Washington University. I received my post-graduate education in personal and executive coaching from The College of Executive Coaching, one of the leading institutions in coach training for professionals with advanced degrees.
