Introduction: I am a true music enthusiast, a proud mother of a fantastic 11-year-old, and a lifelong performer. I recently moved to the area and look forward to continuing my 20-year career of teaching voice and piano with the fantastic folks of New York. I have taught people of all ages, skill levels and temperaments, and believe that ANYONE can take their playing or singing to a level they find fulfilling and can be proud of.
I focus on the joy of making music by giving my students the tools to find their own voice and unique form of musical expression. For both my vocal and piano students, I teach music and theory basics with the end-goal of creation and self expression. I hold regular recording sessions, master classes and recitals in a safe space to encourage students to write, co-write, collaborate and enhance their musical knowledge and experience by playing and performing for and with others. I am passionate about music and the positive impact it can have in a person's life, and am committed to sharing my passion with others. I currently have Saturday and Sunday teaching slots available, with weekday slots opening up in December. I can teach half piano/half vocal for those interested in learning both.

I took piano classes all my life but never enjoyed it like I do with Libby as my piano teacher. I know I slack a lot but she doesn't know that she has always made me feel differently towards music (in a good way) and gets me to the point where I want to cry because the feeling I get in my chest is so intense. She helped me find a huge part of myself even though, I'm still not even close to being a professional pianist. I love the way she teaches and the way she makes me feel while learning. I hope she realizes when I thank her like 3048294 times while leaving I really mean them. Thanks for being such a great inspiration to me Libby even if it doesn't seem like it. You are the bestestestetstetest. (Sorry this was so cheesy)

She was the best piano teacher ever. Three grandchildren took lessons. One had very good potential and loved to play. One would rather be outside playing basketball , and the last one just wanted to play not learn.
She handled each one differently and was able to encourage and enrich their individual approach to the piano. Each child enjoyed her lessons. I can’t say enough wonderful comments about Libby.

My daughter is taking piano and voice lessons from Libby. We absolutely adore her. She really connects with her. I have no music background at all so I am of no help. It’s amazing to me how quickly my daughter is learning.
