It was a pleasure working with you. I was happy we were able to get a quick start on your case and that I was able to convince the police officer not to file the felony charges. Thanks!

The lawyer jokes just don't apply to Andrew McAdams.
In my lifetime, I have been required to retain an attorney a number of times for a variety of reasons. I can honestly say that Andrew McAdams was the first I retained where I walked away totally satisfied that I had a true advocate representing and working for me. He listened carefully to my problem and then moved quickly to address it. He represented me in negotiations and did so with skill, restraint, and a determination to make sure I had been heard. He was extremely responsive to my calls, making me feel as though I was his only client.
You could say he is the very antithesis of the attorneys who so richly deserve to be the brunt of so many jokes.
I highly recommend Andrew.

I was totally stressed out because I did something stupid that was then blown way out of proportion. I'm a professional and my job was at risk. Andrew was a great listener and helped me understand what was going on and feel better about the situation at every step along the way. He was able to help me resolve things where I was able to keep my job, pay a small fine to the court, and now he is helping me to get it all expunged. I highly recommend Andrew!

Andrew did a great job! He definitely understands the criminal justice system and he works hard. I was falsely accused of something I didn't do. He was able to get me a plea in abeyance in the case which I was tempted to take the plea in abeyance, but ended up going to trial with the judge. Andrew was great in trial, and the judge found me not guilty.

One amazing advocate
I have never met a more honest lawyer. He is also a amazing person he truly believes and cares about helping others...when I met him I was distraught do to a lot of medical problems a cancerous tumor being the main problem. I was using cannabis oil to help me just be able to move, eat and not vomit when I got pulled over I had some cannabis oil in my purse that I'd forgotten about.. I was being charged with possession i was so worried I was going to jail..I was leaving the courtroom after pleading not guilty. I knew I had to find lawyer I saw him talking to somebody I assumed it was a client of his he seem to care so much about what was happening to his client. so I got up the nerve and asked him if he would talk to me after he got done. Right away i started crying as we sat down to talk to him. He was so concerned about everything that was going on with me. We sat and talked for a half an hour as I explained everything that happened he told me not to worry that he would help me. I could tell by the look in his eyes that he truly cared...after a few meetings and getting all of my medical records wich there was about 500 page's he told me he would do his best . We went to court he met with the prosecuting attorney they offered me a plea bargain and said that if I did hair follicle testing for 24 months and passed they would dismiss the charges. I said ok .then as we got up in front of the judge Andrew leaned over to me and said watch this. The judge read my charges and then said they was dismissing all charges with out prejudice. I couldn't believe it i looked at him and asked how did this happen he just smiled at me. I then looked at the procedure and said thank you and he said....don't thank me thank your lawyer he advocated on your behalf...I don't know how he did it, but I know he truly fought for me. I can not thank him enough for making me feel important and not just about money. I promise if he represents you he will go above and beyond.
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Facing criminal charges can be very intimidating and scary. Whether you have been charged with the most serious felony or the smallest misdemeanor, prosecution is a very unpleasant experience to say the least. Simply not knowing how the system works and what the future might hold is enough to drive any person mad.
I've found that helping clients see the big picture establishing a working plan going forward goes a long way toward providing peace of mind. Clear answers don't always come right away, but having a solid grasp of what the road ahead might hold can go a long way.
I always prefer to meet in person in my office, but also recognize that most people have work and family responsibilities that might prevent them from taking time off during the day to travel and meet with an attorney. Nowadays, much of the initial work can be done over the telephone if the client doesn't have time to meet in person during regular office hours.
Whether we meet in person or over the phone is up my client's personal preference and schedule. I will do whatever I can to accommodate, and frequently take phone calls after-hours.
I am always available via text message at the number provided here as well. This is often a great way to coordinate a meeting or phone call if your schedule is busy. You are always free to send me a quick message with details letting me know what help you need. If I can't call you back immediately, I'll message you to arrange a time when we can talk or meet.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I graduated from law school at The Ohio State University in Columbus, Ohio.
I was a full-time felony prosecutor in one of the nation's largest prosecuting agencies in Phoenix, Arizona for three years, followed by another five years working as a full-time felony prosecutor in Utah.
Before making the switch to criminal defense, I spent two years teaching as a full-time law school professor in Charlotte, North Carolina.
I graduated from college at the University of Utah, where I was earned many honors. During this time, I also had the unique privilege of spending a semester in Washington, D.C. where I worked as an intern for the U.S. Supreme Court.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your service? If so, please share the details here.
For most criminal matters, I work on a flat rate pricing system. We agree upon a flat price for representation at the beginning, depending on the type and nature of the case. With a flat-rate, you don't have to worry about a legal bill that will balloon or grow out of control as the case progresses.
I can also take matters on an hourly basis, depending upon the preference of my client. Most of the time, however, client's prefer a flat-rate agreement where my bill doesn't go up higher in the event things turn out to be more complicated that we anticipated.
How did you get started doing this type of work?
I first started thinking seriously about becoming an attorney when I was working at the U.S. Supreme Court in Washington, DC and was able to personally meet some of our country's greatest legal minds. Meeting people like Sandra Day O'Connor, David Souter, Anthony Kennedy, Ruth Bader Ginnsburg, and the late Antonin Scalia and Chief Justice William Rehnquist cemented my decision to become a lawyer.
