FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
I charge $150 per session after the initial $180 intake. This is definitely a financial investment for many, but you are investing in yourself - to help yourself feel and do better. These prices are based on my education and expertise.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
The first part includes doing the initial intake. This includes filling out the necessary forms (i.e., consent). After this is completed I speak with the client about what is the issue that has brought them to counseling. From there we can decide on goals to achieve for the treatment plan.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have a masters in guidance & counseling. I also have a Ph.D. in rehabilitation counseling. I've been employed as an elementary teacher, middle school counselor, and crisis intervention counselor. I also volunteer for the American Red Cross as a disaster mental health counselor. In the past I've volunteered for a domestic violence hotline as well as a caseworker for an organization designed to prevent child abuse and neglect. I also have a specialization in helping people affected by bullying as I wrote my dissertation on this serious issue.
