How does your business stand out?

Musically artistic and passionate, I'm originally from NE Ohio, but now find my home in the city of San Francisco. I've taught in various settings including: private and group lessons, ensemble coaching, string camps, and classroom teaching. I currently teach private and group classes in a number of schools in San Francisco. I am a strong advocate for Multiple Intelligences and Differentiated Instruction. I use various approaches and methods to teach others how to make beautiful music including resources from Bonnie Greene and Suzuki Methods, as well as traditional folk and fiddle tunes. Performance settings include The Warren Philharmonic, Youngstown Symphony, and Greenville Symphony. I am also active with Awesome Orchestra, Classical Revolution and other groups in the Bay Area. I am co-founder and violist for Accordia Music SF, and we provide live music for weddings, receptions, parties, anniversaries, memorial services, and more. With 40+ reviews.

What do you enjoy about the work you do?

Music is a universal language and I'm passionate about sharing that with others. I have been performing and teaching for 10+ years. I believe anyone can experience the joy of learning music, and I've taught students as young as 6 years old to adult.

My 7 1/2 year old daughter loves her piano classes with Christina. She has been taking lessons with her for a year and a half now. I love Christina’s style of teaching piano. I wish I had her as a child because I probably wouldn't have quit playing! She is patient, kind and teaches piano in a very fun way making music enjoyable and relatable to kids. My daughter practices piano on her own and I have seen an amazing improvement in her piano playing since she has been Christina’s student.

I have been taking lessons with Christina for 3 years. I feel she's very clear of the expectations with etudes, scales, and pieces. She breaks down the concepts thoroughly and creatively to relate the content in a way that allows me to fully understand, grasp, and implement in my playing. I also appreciate how she incorporates our lessons into my education and career goals. Overall, she has a great balance of the bigger picture and how the minute details and cogs relate to one another for the end goal. Christina creates a safe, casual, and inviting environment. Any anxieties are easily left at the door with each lesson. Her criticism is methodical and it allows me to digest her feedback in a very positive way. I am able to simply internalize her comments and apply them in my personal practice. I HIGHLY recommend Christina!!
