- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Ms.Cai earned B.A. in Music with minors in Italian Studies and Urban Education from Santa Clara University. She also studied in the Santa Clara University School of Education for her Master's degree in teaching. She is a classically trained musician and an experienced educator. As an opera singer, Ms.Cai studied in Milan, Italy with Italian soprano Patrizia Zanardi. In 2015, Ms.Cai was selected as one of the only ten singers for Maestra Fiorenza Cossotto's master class in Rome, Italy. She is currently affiliated with Verismo Opera and Opera San Jose. Her operatic roles include: Fiordiligi/Dorabella from "Cosi fan tutte", Adalgisa from "Norma", La Contessa/Cherubino from "Le Nozze di Figaro", Donna Elvira from "Don Giovanni", Nedda from "I Pagliacci", Liu from "Turandot", Santuzza from "Cavalleria Rusticana", Maria from "Maria di Rohan", and Mimi from "La Boheme". Ms.Cai also appears as guest singer for numerous charity events and galas. She is the Secretary General for The Voice of Harmony Artists. As an educator, Ms.Cai has taught students age from 5 to 70. She has taught public high school, private middle school, public elementary school, various music schools and heritage schools. Ms.Cai currently collaborates with Omega Academy Non-Profit Organization and owns a singing studio in San Jose. She has experience teaching voice lessons to children, adults, professional musicians and music lovers. She also teaches both male and female singers. She helped many people with pitch issues, tone quality, musicality, performance, and acting. Ms.Cai also teaches students with special needs.
