- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Group classes are $25 per class or $80 per month Private lessons are $75 per hour
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Set up lesson time and location. I teach foundation playing techniques, posture, traditional and contemporary and traditional rhythms, musical arrangements. Students will learn how to play, produce great sounds with the djembe, understand the feeling and timing of the rhythms, learn solo techniques and how to make the djembe speak.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Over 20 years to playing and teaching the djembe and dununs in Southern Arizona. Founded The Dambe Project, a 501(c)3 organization dedicated to utilizing West African drumming for you mentorship. I taught West African drumming in local schools for over 15 years. Also taught adult classes in the evenings, developed beginning, intermediate and semi-pro drum and dance ensembles and performed locally and nationally. I am a TTM certified Professor of the Djembe and a handful of certified teachers worldwide. My teachers are from Guinea and Mali, West Africa, the source of the rhythms I teach.
