Introduction: After 20 years of woodworking experience, there isn't too much I haven't seen. As a finisher/cabinet maker by trade, I specialize in kitchen/furniture refinishing and structural repairs. If your kitchen and furniture are in good shape but need a little TLC, I do in-home touch-ups and repairs. I've had the pleasure of woodworking and refinishing for the Hampton Roads community since 1995. Whether refinishing a table or just touching up a scratch, it's always something new and different. I enjoy helping customers figure out their options and possibilities for the new look of the kitchen and then bringing it to fruition. Restoring your kitchen not only increases your property value; it also brings new life and attention to the most commonly used room in the house.

I have used after hours for years, when ever DBK does an kitchen or bathroom remodel. I use after hours re-finishing exclusively, from small low budget jobs to total custom high end jobs

What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
A typical job would be anywhere from 1-3 weeks depending on how large and type of finish. I would take furniture or kitchen doors / drawers to my shop to be worked on. Cabinets may be removed or refinished in place depending cost effective. In home touch up and repair is exactly as it sounds, everything is done on site and that day.

How did you get started doing this type of work?
I started in high school working for a furniture repair and refinishing shop. I later decided to move into kitchen cabinetry and never left.
