Introduction: I have decades of experience as a writer/editor in numerous fields (I have published several books and edited many more), and I especially enjoy helping with autobiographies and memoirs.
I learned the craft of editing as a journalist for nationally distributed publications. My specialty is working with people who have good ideas/information to share, but find it difficult to turn them into readable prose.
It gives me great pleasure to write and edit, so much so that I often write for recreation. It's a craft that requires an ear for and enjoyment of language; I have both.

After seeing several books that Amie Hill has edited in our local bookstore, I asked her to review a memoir I'm working on. She provided excellent line editing and also provided some developmental ideas. While I'm still working on my book, I do recommend her services. She's both skillful and gentle and I believe other writers will find her editing enhances their work.
