I'm pretty picky about who I let work on my car. Charles knows his welding, for sure. I had a job that turned out to be much more complex that originally thought. What was originally thought to be a simple steel automotive frame actually was a mix of metals (81 Delorean). Charlie knew from the way the weld wasn't taking what kind of metal it was, and what kind of rod he needed. He had everything in his truck. The job turned out super! We didn't agree on a price beforehand, just that we'd get in to the job and see what was involved. It took longer than thought and cost me less than I expected. Will absolutely use him for any other jobs in the future.

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
I look at distance and length of work. now these are examples. if I am next door to the project and it lasts 15 minutes I charge 20usd. if I am 2 hours away from the project and it will last less then 1 hour then I charge 100usd. if it lasts more then an hour then hourly rates apply instead.
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I have no written script for anyone. Everyone is different. scripts are for large business. I am not large.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
have been working at this for over 34 years and have had on the job training prior to formal education.
