Introduction: I am a former high school mathematics teacher for 8 years. I have a Master's Degree in Educational Leadership and a Bachelor's Degree in Mathematics. I have experience teaching and tutoring all levels of mathematics including Elementary & Middle School Math, PreAlgebra, Algebra I, Algebra II, Geometry, PreCalculus, Trigonometry, AP Calculus, SAT/ACT, and SSAT. I tutor out of my home in Simsbury, CT. After 8 years as a high school mathematics teacher, my family and I decided that it was best for us to have me stay home with our two little boys. I love tutoring because it is incredibly rewarding for me to see my students improve, reap the benefits of their tutoring sessions, and most importantly see their confidence grow!

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
I generally charge $75/hour for private tutoring. Group tutoring discounts are available. I provide clients who provide referrals discounts as well.

How did you get started doing this type of work?
I left teaching a few years ago in favor of staying home with my now three young children. I still feel the need to nurture my passion for helping students be successful students of mathematics. One-to-one tutoring allows me to fully understand each client's strengths and weaknesses and truly make a difference in their understanding of the material and confidence in mathematics.
