Introduction: I'm Jason J Kim, a Snohomish based portrait photographer covering Seattle Metropolitan area. My passion in photography is to capture the precious moments of one's life in photos to cherish forever. I started photography as a hobby, which quickly turned into a passion. I love capturing images of nature, landscape as well as people. My shooting style is based on fine art photography with fashionably inspired, modern concepts and fun in mind. My source of inspiration is my subjects. This means I will pay a great attention to your needs or wishes in creating images you will be happy with. I believe the essence of portrait photography is to capture images that display the likeness, personality, and even mood of the person.

Jason was a pleasure to work with. He took multi-generational photos for our family while the grandparents were visiting for Christmas. He made us feel relaxed and welcome, and when our young children weren’t feeling “sit still and smile...” anymore, he rolled with it and we got the most adorable, natural, spontaneous portrait shots. Jason is particularly a standout when it comes to responsiveness. He was proactive, helpful in advising how to prepare, and so approachable. Would work with him again!

Working with Jason on my daughter's senior pictures was such a fantastic experience from start to finish! Jason is very engaging, and was super responsive, flexible, and thoughtful throughout the whole process. He is a super nice guy, and it was clear that he wanted us to love both our experience and our portraits. And...his photos are beautiful. He has a great eye for incorporating light, depth and color, capturing personality, and for framing the images creatively. He was very relaxed and easy to work with, and he made the process fun! He really cared about getting us a great outcome, and he actively listened to our preferences and needs. Jason made the whole process simple -- from helping us identify a beautiful and easy location that gave us both urban and natural settings in one place, to working out a session plan so our time was used really well so we could get a lot of different settings, poses and outfits worked into our session time. After our session, Jason was super helpful in final edit/retouch, and sending sample images back and forth to make sure we were thrilled with our final portraits - no surprises! I highly recommend Jason!

I am so glad that I stumbled across Jason Photography. I can’t say enough about how professional Jason is and the quality of work that he provides. He was instantly able to put my family at ease, and capture some captivating photographs. There just aren’t enough words to possibly describe how amazing each and every photo that Jason snaps. He has a magical way of finding the perfect angle, lightning and of course expressions. I will treasure them forever. Biggest of all my 7year old daughter had an amazing experience with her first photo shoot with him. Jason is genuinely a nice guy and has lot of experience to work with any age group. Don’t pass up the chance to work with him!

It was great pleasure to work with Jason. He made photo shoot very comfortable and efficient as we were with 3 months baby. He knew how to interact with baby, get his attention and find the best posture. Final pictures were presented next day and of high quality (we posted them to Instagram right away:). Jason is also very responsive, polite, professional and flexible. Will definitely recommend him for photo shoots

Jason was an awesome photographer. Our family photos turned out amazing. He was very patient with my kids. The photos turned out exactly how I wanted them to because he took the time to listen to my ideas. Communicating with him was very easy. He was quick to respond to emails and texts. What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
I have different packages that will fit needs of many individuals or groups. I do offer discounts based on projects. Please ask.
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I think communication is the key. I will be very prompt to come up with the shot list, which will be tailored to the client's specific needs. I use mainly email or thumbtack message but will be available by phone.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I am self-taught in photography and photoshop. I continue to update myself in training different techniques in photography, especially in lighting and photoshop.
