FAQs
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Getting to know them. Making sure they are comfortable working with me. Finding out what areas they want to work on, what may be ailing them and getting to work right away to help get results.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I currently train one-on-one and teach group fitness classes, (spinning, cardio and stretching) have been doing so for over 20 years. Have certifications from International Sports Sciences Association (ISSA), American Fitness Association of America (AFAA) and the Personal Training Institute of America. I also just completed my wellness coach certification with the International Association of Professions Career College (IAP). Completing my e-book to share with all of my clients.
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
I broke my leg as a teenager (skateboarding with my brother) and wanted to try out for the cheer leading squad. Since I couldn't (because it was too much jumping) as my leg was healing with the cast off after 6 months , I found the Dance Company and happily made the team. It was here that I learned about body mechanics and how to stretch, tone and build strength and it just made me feel better about myself. So I stuck with dance through HS, a few classes in college and then later on became a certified personal trainer, group fitness and spin instructor and taught Zumba for a number of years as well. I also have a P90X certification which is a high intensity interval training (HIIT) type exercise.
