Derick was quick to contact us and very fair about his price for labor. He also helped us pick out all materials and supplies for the project. But as far as the quality of service and professionalism we experienced, was awful. He repeatedly asked my fiancée for money throughout the project even though he assured us he wouldn't need anything except for the supplies we purchased ahead of time. We NEVER received a single receipt from all the supposed extra supplies we needed. After we refused to give him money for any other supplies and said we'll go get it for him, he magically found everything he needed with the exception of one thing. There was also a time when we didn't hear from him for two days. He didn't answer any calls or texts. He doesn't even have a voicemail box setup. Once we finally got in contact with him, he said he was sick. Which is understandable but I still expected to hear from him. After the whole fiasco of not returning our phone calls, he finally quickly put up our fence. Half of the job was completed. Then he insisted on receiving half of the payment when we agreed that he would receive it once the job was completed. We decided to give him half because he was telling us that he didn't have enough money/gas to get home and all these other unprofessional things you should never discuss with your clients. The next day he came back and worked. Once the job was completed it was around 11pm at night. We suggested that he go home and come back the next day so that he could perform his best work in the daylight He wanted the rest of the money. We told him he wouldn't receive the remainder until the job was totally completed. Therefore he said he would stay all night if he had to to finish the job. By the time the work was completed, we were barely able to inspect the work and could tell we were not getting anywhere with these guys so we paid them and sent them home. The fence looks ok at first glance except once you analyze it closely you see that nails haven't been put in a many of boards, he is a foot passed out property line and the gates look hideous and do not function properly. We are looking to determine how to move forward but it has complete a nightmare!!!
