FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
I don't have standard pricing, but it works out better for you. I don't take insurance, so I'm free to see all kinds of clients for all kinds of reasons. My full fee is $100, but if cost is a barrier for you, then I offer a sliding scale. I can't remember the last time I turned anyone down.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Research shows that finding a therapist who feels like a good fit is the most important part of the process! First, we'll do a free phone interview so that we can make sure I can help you, and you feel comfortable with me. Then we'll talk about money and make an appointment- pretty painless.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have a Master's Degree in Family Counseling, and I am a National Certified Counselor. I've worked in several counseling settings, and even offer home visits. In addition to my degree, I also have training in perinatal mood disorders, and working with parents of newborns is a specialty of mine.
