FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
My current rate is $60/hour. This covers consultation, space planning, and design creation. I add 20% to wholesale items to cover the cost of procuring, managing and installing the items.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
So that I can serve you better and save you money, I recommend that you spend time collecting photos of rooms, colors, and fabrics that appeal to you. It is just as helpful to know what types of colors and fabrics you do not like. It is helful for you to create a list of must haves and would like to haves. I do my best to incorporate as much as possible into the design solution. If you don't have a budget in mind, consider what you are willing to spend on your key items. I am very open and transparent and like to address any concerns early on.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have a degree in Interior Design and have been working in the design field for nine years. I worked in a high end residential design studio before turning to commercial design. My work in commercial design has given me experience in designing millwork and specifying architectural lighting solutions. I find myself drawn back to residential design but my experience in the commercial world has strengthened my project management skills and capacity for design solutions. I am also working for Wayfair as an e-designer, which is keeping me on my toes to address any and all styles and needs.
