FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
I am open to giving clients a discount when they sign a photo release that allows me to use approved images from our session in my portfolio, in marketing, on-line portfolio, and stock/editorial sites. This way customers will save money and I have more examples of my work to show potential clients. You know I will only use images that are the best of the best. Total $======Discount >=$250======10% Off $251-$500===15% Off over $500====20% Off
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Since photography is so personal my typical process starts with a conversation about what your expectations are. This usually involves reviewing representative photography examples of places, poses, and wardrobe for the style you need. From portraits to pet photography there are poses ranging from timeless classics to the latests in modern trends. After that conversation we will learn what your expectations are so we can work together on getting places and clothing thought out which helps pave the way to getting the images that you expect from your minds eye
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I am a self taught photographer that has over 10 years of experience shooting Nikon's Professional DSLR cameras. I have over 6 years of experience with Adobe's flagship applications Photoshop and Lightroom as well to post-process Nikon's RAW image format to fix anything that can't be resolved before taking the picture. The 3 most important characteristics good Photographers know are: Intent - What does the photographer have in mind when they take the photo and did they achieve it? -- I plan every session to help achieve the best results possible and know what the expectations are. Technical skill - Does the photographer show a thorough understanding of composition, light, exposure, and design? -- Mastering the technical side of photography opens up the artistic possibilities because you are not restricted to only taking photos using the method(s) you know. Finally consistency - Does the photographer have just one or two great shots or did they produce success time and time again? -- I've shot hundreds of thousands of pictures at multi-day events for repeat customers. I believe that they must like the quality and consistency of my work for them to pay my travel expenses and hourly rate to have me cover their out of state sporting events.
