FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
I charge $15 for a half hour lesson. That is the typical lesson time; however I do teach 45 minute and hour lessons depending on how advanced the student is. Those lessons are $22.50 and $30 respectively.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
If the student and parent desires, I can provide a consultation meeting for free before officially starting lessons. This will help me determine where the student is in his/her musical adventure and how to best provide instruction for that student.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I began taking piano at the age of 6 and studied piano all the way through college for a total of 16 years. I taught piano for three years in high school before I graduated in 2008. During my undergraduate years, I studied piano as my secondary instrument. I started taking flute lessons at the age of 10 and continued lessons for 8 years, through the end of high school. I began taking voice when I was 16 and continued voice training through my college years. At Bob Jones University, I studied Church Music and received my Bachelor of Music cum laude from the School of Fine Arts and Communication in 2012. I then expanded my education by getting a Masters degree in Science from the school of Education in 2015.
