Introduction: Muller Music aims to enrich the lives of students through the lense of musical play and study. We strive to guide each student through a well-rounded musical education by encouraging positivity, fostering creativity, and establishing healthy habits. Students in our program can expect not only to become proficient at performing an instrument but to also gain valuable skills pursuing their own musical independence and unique voice. In addition to music reading and mechanical coordination, we prioritize early entry to music theory and history, as well as ear training and performance skills. We aim to foster diversity by considering not only my students' prior musical training but also musical goals and interests. At each level of mastery, students learn new skills and pieces to both challenge and inspire them in their pursuit of learning the art of performing music.

Adie was wonderful. She was always on time, ready to go with a positive attitude and a smile. She was very accomodating and willing to help Alex when he was unsure of something. The only thing I would have wanted is more time for Alex to learn from her :)

Adie was our daughter's first violin lesson and she proved to be exceptionally patient in this situation. Her style is relaxed, not rigid, and provides for a calm and safe environment for learning while also providing substantial challenges for the student. She was also flexible enough to take on a little Irish folk piece we brought in that we wanted to learn. Adie's a great child instructor!

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Rates: 1 hour: $60; 1/2 hour: $40. Location: I teach from my home-studio in Woodbridge (near Rippon Landing). I can also travel to the student's address, or an agreed-upon location, for a fee travel fee (ask me for a quote). Discounts: A student's 1st Lesson (on each violin and viola) are Free! Military Discount: -$5 each lesson Orchestra Discount: -$5 for students who participate in their school orchestras. For more details, see my website!
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I like to be very flexible in my teaching style in order to accommodate diversity in students' prior musical training. For new students, I prioritize proficiency in note reading, rhythm counting, posture, and basic ear training. I provide each student with my unique set of lessons books and any additional materials I would consider helpful. As lessons progress, I assign graduated repertoire to both challenge and inspire the students, according to their individual needs and interests.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have achieved my Master's of Music Degree in Viola Performance from the University of Arizona's "Fred Fox" School of Music. I have been teaching violin and viola since 2010, through private lessons, Tucson Junior Strings, Tucson Summer Music, Tucson Symphony Women's Association, Allegro School of Music, Prince William Youth Orchestra, as a guest clinician at public orchestra programs, and many more.
