Steph is a great yoga instructor! Before starting her class, she asked what we would like to focus on and has really tailored the classes to our needs. Every class we focus on a different area, or learn a new stretch or pose. The variation keeps the classes fun and fresh and always has me counting down the days until the next week! Steph also has a great selection of music!! I am newer to practicing yoga and Steph has definitely inspired me to continue being a "yogi" :)Dec 2, 2016
This past November on Monday nights, I, for the first time ever, started to attend yoga classes with Steph as my instructor! Steph is truly an amazing yoga teacher! As soon as I get to class my stress level drops after the crazy day I have had and as we get started I know the next hour or so is going to be the best, most enjoyable part of my day ☺️ I haven't really taken yoga classes before, but Steph does an incredible job of showing you and helping you get into the perfect position for each and every single pose you do. I have only taken classes on Mondays this past month, but feel like I have learned so much! I also am already feeling like I am noticing some of the benefits of yoga including increased flexibility and strength, along with improved breathing, and better posture. Not to forget to mention that I think it has and will continue to be so great for me post ACL and meniscus surgery. I look forward to continuing taking classes with Steph and seeing more positive results from yoga in the future! I highly recommend her to anybody looking to start or continue the amazing practice of yoga 🙏🏼 Steph is the best and has studied and done yoga all around the world and continues to do so, which makes her the best yogi and yoga instructor ever 💙💙💙Dec 4, 2016
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?I love to find out what my client's goals are. What is bringing them to yoga, and what do they hope to discover by starting a yoga practice. I am always very encouraging of feedback so that we can keep each class meeting the student where they are.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?I have a 200hr Yoga Teacher certification from the Yoga Alliance that includes yoga, pranayama (breathing exercises), meditation, and kriyas (cleansing techniques); 50 hours SUP and SUP Yoga training; 60+ hours of acro yoga workshops.
- How did you get started doing this type of work?I have done yoga for over 8 years, but began to dive deeper after a string of injuries brought on by running, and overuse at work. I longed for continued fitness, and pain relief, and I found so much more. If you can breathe, you can do yoga. The benefits are endless, and there is truly something for everyone. I love sharing that!
