"Xavier is a champion of active-listening, and then getting the heart of matters. He provided an objective voice to help me better understand the many different choices before me, and their pros and cons. He also provided excellent and helpful Life-Assignments (as he calls them; I think he came up with the term during one of our sessions!). One of the most helpful was introducing me to Emotional Intelligence, and my exploration of that between our sessions has helped me gain insight and knowledge in my own line of work that I probably would not have discovered otherwise. Describe a recent project you are fond of. How long did it take?
A recent coaching engagement that I really enjoyed was with the Executive Director of a non-profit who was working on selecting a new board and building on a 15yr success to "evolve and transform" her organization. She was simultaneously battling breast cancer but Her outlook and personality couldn't have been brighter, nor her mind more clear about what she wanted. I looked forward to those sessions because they were a chance to connect with a living soul that was busy about the work of living. We shared insights and challenges alike, always with gratuitous laughter.
