We had Alters Moving move us into our new home. They were on time, polite and extremely careful with our belongings. Alters moving took the time to ensure we were happy with how the move was going along the way. We plan on having Alters estate sale end of their business conduct a estate sale for us this coming fall also. We would give them 5 stars!! We have and will continue to refer them out to our friends and Family

They were on time and for the most part polite 1-non accurate estimate 2- inadequate helpers 3-length of time for move 4-unnecessary and inconvenient request for cash informed on day of move 5-stored my bike on top of my new piano bad idea Would not recommend or hire again

Hi Ann, We are disappointed that you had a bad experience. However, we gave you an overview of how much time & money the move would cost before we started and you were on board and agreed to move forward with it or we would not have began your job. My helpers were working as fast as possible, the truck can only be loaded so quickly to make sure everything is padded so there will be no damage. My helpers have worked with me for years and they are good employees, it seemed as if you had some sort of prejudice against them the minute we showed up. Customers want moves done quickly to save money but if we are rushed then the possibility of damage is greater. I am the owner of my company and I have been moving families for almost 30 years...I am the one that stored the bike on the piano however the piano was extremely padded and the bike was wrapped too...it was done in a way that both pieces were protected. What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
For local moves, I do charge hourly. For long distance, I will give you a price and that is what you pay. There are NO HIDDEN FEES with my company.
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I prefer to speak to the customer directly to get all the information that I need to give them a fair and honest estimate. During that conversation I cover all the expenses with them as well as give them moving tips that will save them time and money.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have been in business for almost 30 years. I have moved homes from 900 square ft. to 20,000 square ft. I have moved grand pianos, pool tables, just about anything that can be moved.
