- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
I charge $15 per 15 minutes, so a full 60 minutes is $60. I offer a discount package: if 4 lessons are paid in advance, you will get 5% off. 4 Lessons, 60 minutes each, usually are $240. With 5% off you will only pay $228. You are not obliged to have lessons on a regular basis. Whatever works best for your schedule - whether you want weekly lessons or just a lesson once in a while - you will not be locked in and you only pay for the lessons you receive.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Getting to know one another is very important. It is essential that the student is comfortable with the tutor. I always make sure the student and their parents know that and do not hesitate to let me know of things they would like to do differently. The next step is to find out how the student learns, i.e. what techniques work best for them.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have a Bachelor of Science degree in Environmental/Civil Engineering from Munich University (Technische Universität München, TUM), Germany.
