I decided to read my manual and was able to correct my problem.
I cancelled the appointment. Brian was very courteous
And informed me that the computer on the front of my machine should tell me when something is wrong.
I will call them again if I need a repair person.

Was very honest. Said my tv was beyond repair and would not charge me for the service call.
