Introduction: As a Parent Coach, I support parents through coaching to help them identify their triggers, work through parenting challenges, provide tools that are specific to their family, and more. As we work together, parents begin to feel more joy and peace within their family. I especially enjoy working with parents of pre-teens and teenagers and also teenagers directly. I love supporting parents through coaching to create deeper connections with their children. As we work together, I enjoy seeing the shifts in the parents and the relationship with their children and celebrating their successes. When working with teenagers, I love seeing how they develop their inner compass and feel more confident in how they approach life as their authentic self.

I worked with Tia specifically with regards to understanding and supporting my independent, highly opinionated tweenage daughter. I was struggling to find ways to work with my daughter that didn’t constantly end in yelling and threats of grounding. Following completion of my 10 week course I walked away with a whole new take not only on parenting, but with my response to difficult communication scenarios in general. Who knew I would receive such valuable life changing views for the world in a parenting class? Tia is a kind and patient teacher. She has a true gift for listening and giving feedback in ways that will resonate with where you’re at. She takes in all experiences and choices her clients make with no judgement or repudiation. I felt safe and supported as I learned to navigate a broad and beautiful new course in my parenting. Following completion of my course I have her as a resource to turn to time and time again. She makes herself constantly available for those she has worked with. The gifts she teaches us parents will be paid forward in ten-fold as our children grown. She is helping us change the world of parenting for the better.

FAQs

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Depending upon the number of sessions you sign up for there are discounts available. I have single sessions, 4-pack, and 10-pack sessions available. If you are interested in another package, please let me know and we can discuss other options. In addition, I have a generosity policy as I feel that coaching should be available for everyone.
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Our work is done together in a safe and confidential manner. Depending upon your location and preference, we can meet in person or have our coaching session over the phone. We will discuss parenting challenges and develop tools and solutions that will improve the relationship with you and your child. For teenagers, we will investigate what their struggles are, what they want to change, and work on ways to accomplish their goals. All coaching is confidential and without judgement and In between sessions there will be areas to focus on and practice.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I am a Certified Parent Coach with The Jai Institute for Parenting. I have also been taking courses and training with Dr. Shefali Tsabary for 3+ years and continue to learn and grow under Dr. Shefali and her teachings. I am currently in another course with her for 2018. Plus I always have the best real-world training you can get by being a mother to teenage daughters!
