I have used Gerry's expertise for a number of years for 3 of my homes. She has an incredible eye for design and staging. Even more impressive is her ability to make changes to a room quickly and economically. When doing my kitchen and family room over in Cohasset, MA, Gerry saved me thousands of dollars off of the quotes provided by contractors. In my current home in the DC area Gerry walked in the door and within 5 minutes made great suggestions regarding color, placement of furniture, and window treatments. I was able to carry out her suggestions at no cost to me because I had everything at home. In my previous home in DC I told Gerry that we did not intend to stay there too long. She suggested that I, therefore, decorate my home as if I was staging it. With her ideas and some small home improvements my home looked beautifully staged at all times. Pricing varies depending upon the size and scope of the project.
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
We start with a telephone interview to determine the scope of the project. We then meet with our client in their home and, depending on the size and type of the job, either roll up our sleeves and start the process right away or schedule the work to be done according to the client's timeframe.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have taken design, lighting, color and architectural courses at some of Boston's leading design schools. I am a Certified Home Stager and Redesigner having completed the most comprehensive and intensive home staging and redesign certification course in North America provided by the Home Staging Resource.The HSR Certification program is one of the only Accredited staging training programs recognized by the Real Estate Staging Association (RESA) which is the governing body for the home staging industry.
