We had a wonderful experience working with D&D Mason Contractors for a major repointing job on our 1960s era chimneys, front porch, & retaining wall. From start to finish, Darold & Michael communicated clearly about the process & about the costs associated with each step. We received an itemized contract prior to the start of work. Our job was made more complex because of our delicate slate roof. To repoint the chimneys, a hydraulic lift had to be rented. Michael executed the repointing skillfully, removing all of the deteriorating mortar from his perch on the lift & replacing it with color-matched mortar in the same style as the existing materials. He even added a decorative groove between each mortar joint as had been done in the original 1963 build. It's this attention to craft that we really appreciate. The job took about a week to complete. After each day of work, all materials were neatly put away on our property, & at the end of the job, all dust was cleared from the work site. We're delighted with this company & would be pleased to work with them again in the future.

Darold and his family are wonderful people. Not only they are experts at what they do, they are personable and honest humans which I think is more important than price or anything else. They did a lovely job with our walkway. As you can see from the before and after images, it is like night and day. This was worth the effort and where it added massive value and curb appeal to our home.

Highly recommend D&D for any masonry work. They did a great job installing two blue stone walkways, a patio and re-pointing existing stone stairs. Darold made his best effort to match the material choices with my historical house.

We've hired darold twice now and would have no qualm hiring him again if we need more brickwork done in the future. He was the only person willing to repair our front steps. Everyone else wanted to charge us thousands to build new ones. He repaired ours for a fraction of that cost and it is holding strong 3 years later. We also hired him to repoint our house and repair several window lintels. Great work all around and at a very competitive cost.
