Hollis's Online Violin Studio

Hello! I've been performing for 21 years and teaching for 15 years, and I'm now venturing into online lessons in order to reach more students. Teaching has always been a passion for me! Whether you're an adult trying the violin or viola for the first time, or a dedicated student aiming to major in music, I can adapt my approach to suit your needs. I will help you build confidence in your playing through presenting attainable goals each week, while also providing appropriate challenges. I aim to help you feel comfortable and natural as you play by prioritizing proper posture and technique. I have a Master's degree from the Peabody Conservatory in Violin Performance with an emphasis in pedagogy. I have performed in the U.S.A. and Europe, with well-known artists such as Andrea Bocelli, Yo-Yo Ma, Itzahk Perlman, and the Trans-Siberian Orchestra. My teacher training includes the Suzuki method (registered for books 1-5) and the Mark O'Connor method (certified for books 1-2). My hope is that the violin or viola becomes a constant source of inspiration and enjoyment for you! *My lessons are taught ONLINE via Discord, Facetime, or Google Hangout.
