Kirk and his team have continued to provide quality services to my family for years. In addition, we have referred New Climate to many friends and family with nothing but wonderful feedback.

Never ever again. Zero stars would be more accurate. First, they didn’t respond in a timely manner when I sent them a message saying I wanted them to come. That should have been a sign of what was to come. Second, after multiple calls to the office, when they finally contacted me, he couldn’t be definite about when someone could come, meanwhile I am sitting in the cold waiting. We finally agree on a time the next day so I can go elsewhere where there was heat. The baby that shows up the next day says it’s the furnace thermostat. It was old, I agree but he was sure but has to leave to go get one that will fit my configuration. I asked the previous day if I should go purchase one but he said they had them in the truck. He comes back and installed it...and STILL NO HEAT! Next he says it’s the transformer...he’s positive because it’s leaking fluid. He removes it to show me, but it’s up in the attic and who knows if it was really leaking before... I couldn’t get up there with my bad knees and hip. Of course he doesn’t have a new one on the truck so he has to go get one. Comes back, installs it and...STILL NO HEAT! The final analysis is, it’s an electrical problem and he doesn’t do electrical. Then proceeded to hand me a bill for $460+!!!!! To Not fix my furnace. Crooks! Highway robbers! I would rather have someone say I can’t help you than to waste time, still not fix the problem and then charge me for their incompetence. BTW, he dropped the bill to $375 after my outrage, as if that’s any better. If the problem was electrical, that money could have been spent fixing it from jump and the old thermostat and transformer would have continued just fine. BEWARE! Particularly elderly folk on a fixed income. I’m out in the cold...figuratively and literally. I’m beginning to believe Thumbtack, Inc. doesn’t do a good job vetting these businesses and that the reviews are bogus.

New Climate Heating & Cooling's reply
I would like to respond to this review with better accuracy than stated here. First when we responded to the customers needs all of our techs were all busy from this initial cold blast we just received this past week . We did inform the customer that we could be out at 8 am on the 10-31-17. As stated in our quote our hourly rate is 79hr. As far as the thermostat is concerned we did have one on our truck but due to the age of the furnace and the existing configuration our tech did have to go get a different thermostat because the existing was very old , broken and falling of the wall. Multiple problems were occurring at this service call due the lack of up keep and age of the entire HVAC system. Concerning the transformer replacement this has to be retrieved from another supply house to get one to match up with a 1972 furnace. Most Hvac companies try to keep as many parts on their trucks to accommodate the customers needs but however it is literally impossible to stock everything due to available space and the different brands that out on the market. For the hours and parts that were spent on this service call to get the system up to a point to get back in service the price came out to $462.50. After the bill was presented it was thrown back towards our technician with disrespect to him. We decided to lower the bill to help ease the price and frustration to $275.00 instead of the 375.00 price that the customer originally stated. Our company has a high integrity and a respected name in the community with in return to the customers ability we expect such respect to be afforded in return. To help with this we are offering a full refund to the customer this date November 1, 2017 if she is willing to accept it. We will be sending a refund of the 275.00 back to the customer as a form of understanding and good faith concerning this situation.
