I worked in engineering and business before getting into teaching. I've always loved Math and learning about HOW and WHY it is relevant and useful. Engineering allowed me to use math to solve real problems and understand how the laws of nature work. I'm an outdoors person and love exploring nature. It's a beautiful thing to see how much of the world around us can be described using math. My graduate degree in Business (Finance & Accounting) allows me to better prepare students who want to pursue a career in business. I have 2+ years of experience as a Math textbook editor for McGraw-Hill. I love inspiring people to use their creativity and intellect to achieve their potential, which will likely involve math somewhere along the road. I enjoy turning upside down preconceived notions that Math is "the evil enemy", it's just not your thing, it's boring or irrelevant. I meet every person where they are and help them get to where they want to go. No judgment. No criticism. I focus on the positive. I'm the coach who has your back.
