Introduction: We are a small family run business with a lot of flexibility when it comes to in-home training, dog walking, & pet sitting. We are reasonably priced and offer quality professional services. Insured & Bonded. Dog/Cat CPR & First Aid Certified. We have experience with Dogs, Cats, Reptiles, small animals, and Avian's. We give discounts to Veteran's, Seniors, and the disabled. I send pictures of your pets throughout your stay. If its' the holidays, don't be surprised If I dress up your dog and send you a picture! Once you have become a customer, we are very easy to schedule your emergency needs. A late day at the office or a last minute invite, all it takes is a text or call and we are available. Never turn down requests made for that same day. We always will fit you in! I am the owner and my family love dogs especially. We children have cat allergies so we had to let go of our Pookie. We also love all animals. We own 4 German Shepherds ourselves. I love working with other people's dogs in all capacities. I love being able to leave my suit behind and work full-time in the Pet Industry. It gives me peace to spend time with animals. I love helping people who want help as I hold an MSW and worked Child Welfare for over a decade. I have taken on my youngest son, Jacob as a protege. He is high functioning Aspergers. He is brilliant. I am helping him to learn responsibility, training, and care. He does really well with pet sitting. My husband as well as my daughter and older son are also part of my business when needed. They know the job as well as how I like to leave a home for people to come home to. I pride myself on that.

My husband Rick & I are extremely happy & satisfied clients since Feb., 2014! In Feb, of 2014, I unfortunately fractured my ankle placing me in a very difficult position to care for our 14 week old puppy. After checking Canine Connections' excellent reviews, we hired them to assist us with dog walking & training our energetic puppy! Hiring Jill Glose was the BEST decision for our household & our puppy, Wyatt. We truly don't know how we would have survived those 5 months while I was on crutches. During this time, Jill became our pet walker, trainer, & my therapist haha. She truly went above & beyond and for that we will be eternally grateful. She is just so kind, compassionate, disciplined & educated in her field! Her Connection with our Wyatt is AMAZING as well! We call her the Dog Whisperer of the Lehigh Valley! She not only trained Wyatt to be a well-behaved 70 lb happy dog, but she educated my husband & I to be smarter & patient dog owners too! Jill is my dog sitter when I go away. I go away A LOT!!! I have two senior pugs, one being paralyzed. My paralyzed pug actually uses the toilet with the help of myself or Jill. I was very nervous about leaving my babies with anyone, especially my paralyzed pug. Jill is truly AMAZING! I feel completely at ease, totally trust, and recommend her to anyone looking for a babysitter. My pugs are my babies and I know all dog owners can relate. When I go away for holidays Jill will dress my babies up in whatever appropriate outfit. Santa hats or bunny ears you name it have been used. She takes a picture and sends it to me 😊 I know my dogs are happy with her while I'm gone because they seem just as I left them when I return. Jill is always available anytime I ask her, and I ask her at least once a month. She spends Christmas and even willingly spent her birthday with our babies. I say our because I know Jill loves them almost as much as I do! If you are looking for someone to love you babies and take care of them the way you would I highly recommend Jill 😊👍👍

Jill is the best pet sitter ever. She is responsible, meticulous, dependable, and most of all/best of all, loving and kind. I sometimes think the animals look forward to Mommy/Daddy going away for awhile so they can have some "Jill time.". There is no one I would trust more than Jill to care for my furry family members.

Our training experience with our puppy (American bull terrier) was phenomenal. Jill has a plethora of knowledge and provided my family with the skills necessary to improve Mia's behavior. She was simply amazing with my children also, mentoring them on how to reinforce Mia's desired behaviors. I highly recommended Jill and her services!

FAQs

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
I do have standard pricing for my in-home services. Unless there is a discount that applies such as Veteran, seniors, or the disabled. Pricing on Pet sitting can change if you tell me you have 2 pets, arrive to your home, find out there are seven, including chickens and egg picking. I do not do farm animals. I also have class options. Those prices vary from the in-home as there is a fee for working out of a pet store under my own entity.
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I either do a phone interview to get an idea of what they want as far as services. Then we set up to meet to fill out paperwork, meet the dog/dogs. If it's for a Dog Training evaluation, that comes before any lesson or combined with suggestions during it. I send all forms via email. I utilize Wells Fargo Merchant services for my Credit Card Processing. I take cash. I only take a check if it is mailed a week prior to service to make sure it clears until you become a regular customer. It is for my protection. I believe in communication verbally and meeting the dog or other animal prior to any service. Modern technology is good but it doesn't replace conversation.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I am a graduate of the Animal Behavior College. I am also certified in Dog training through Petco. I took a special education class on working with shelter dogs and rescue.I did a 4 month training program through Petco. A year program through Animal Behavior College that involved 18 weeks of mentorship & 10 hours at a shelter that lead into 2 years of volunteering. I have 5+ Vet Tech experience from my earlier days. My business may be 3 years running, but my services have been running far about 7 and my personal work with my own dogs since 2002 while I was a social worker. I keep up with training through seminars and webinars. There is always something new to learn. Started mentoring Schutzhund/IPO work as I have "working dogs". Attending conferences when feasible. Joined organizations such as APDT to get my CPDT-KA. Also an associate member of IABBC and the Pet Professional Guild which believes in force free, no harm training.
