I enjoy tutoring small children in academic skills and art. The students feel a great sense of accomplishment when they grasp skills in reading and math. Children feel very proud of their artwork. All this nurtures the growth of self-esteem. I also enjoy tutoring Middle School students. I've done a great deal of substitute teaching at that level. I speak basic Spanish and would enjoy being an ESL tutor. I have experience tutoring reading and writing at the college level.
I enjoy young children. I worked in childcare for 3 years and 20 years in both elementary education and special education. It was exciting following their development in reading, math and art. I also teach ESL. I speak basic Spanish and am fascinated by the culture. I also enjoy Middle School students.
