I started riding late in life and therefore had no prior experience. The instructors and trainers at Legacy have been patient and very encouraging along the way. The horses are cared for incredibly well and they are as much of a priority as the Legacy clients. Everyone is supportive of each other and enjoys each other.

An exceptional place to ride from beginner to advanced rider. A magical setting for a horse enthusiast. Shelly is masterful in finding the correct horse for an individual's ability - creating a true partnership between horse and rider. Horse and rider safety is a very high priority for Shelly. Having over 50 year riding/showing this is truly a very special place!

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Group lessons are $85/hr which includes the costs of horse rental, equipment use, and instructor's time. Pricing for boarding and training available upon request.
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
New students are required to take an evaluation lesson to determine their level and which lesson group they could be paired with.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Shelly is a third generation equestrian with a lifetime of experience in the equestrian industry, having trained with internationally renowned equestrians such as Judy Richter, Richard Keller, Buddy Brown, and many more. Lizzie is a USHJA Certified Provisional Trainer and was captain of Randolph College's equestrian team for three years.
