FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
VTS Physical Therapy is a fee-for-service practice and an out-of-network provider. Payment is accepted on the day of your appointment. For your convenience, I can accept various payment options cash, check, HSA, FSA or any major credit card. The reason I am not currently an in-network participating provider for any insurance plan is so that I can determine the best course of treatment for you based on your individual needs and concerns and not on policies that were created in a conference room.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
During the first visit you will receive a thorough evaluation intermingled with gentle hands on treatment so that you can receive symptom relief on day one. Together we will work out a follow-up treatment plan that will necessarily involve some homework on your part. Research has shown that pain and dysfunction change things in the body. By following a customized home program you will reinforce the good information your body systems receive during hands-on treatment and maintain the progress we make in the clinic. This can drastically reduce the healing and recovery period and result in fewer overall visits. Patients usually see me one time per week, for 4-6 weeks.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I earned my Bachelor of Science and Physical Therapy degree at Wichita State University in 1988 and more recently the Doctor of Physical Therapy degree at the University of Montana. My professional path has encompassed everything on the patient care continuum from acute inpatient care, Skilled Nursing / Extended Care Facilities, and home health care to private practice outpatient clinics.
