FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
I don't have a standard pricing system. Larger jobs are priced by the square foot of drywall but smaller jobs that are only a room or two are typically too small to price by the square foot. Typically I have a minimum charge of $400 because drywall usually requires 5-7 trips to complete. However if it's just patching a couple holes, that can be done in 1 or 2 trips so that $400 minimum does not necessarily apply.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Typically I will come over and take a look at the project and take measurements in order to provide and accurate quote. While I'm there I'll talk with the customer about what needs to be done and figure out a schedule that works for them. I'll provide a quote no later than the next day. I don't ask for any payment up front, only upon completion.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I've been taping and finishing drywall for 20 years and I have plenty of drywall hangers available.
