- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I offer all potential clients a free consultation to discuss health goals and learn about what it's like to work with me. This can be booked on my website dawnjparker.com. I work 100% virtually, through a HIPPA compliant portal. Video sessions last approximately an hour and I typically meet with clients every two weeks at first and then with lessening frequency as goals are achieved.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I got my undergraduate degree from Babson College in 1992. I then spent 17 years working in the pharmaceutical industry. I received my nutrition training at the Institute for Integrative Nutrition, where I graduated in 2013. And I received my functional medicine for coaching certification from the School of Applied Functional Medicine where I did over two years of functional medicine training.
- What types of customers have you worked with?
I have worked with clients of all ages except for infants and toddlers. I work with women and women and a diverse mix of health conditions. Some of my areas of expertise and advanced training include: - Autoimmune conditions such as Hashimoto’s, RA, lupus, MS, psoriatic arthritis, and others - Digestive issues - bloating, constipation, diarrhea, acid reflux, ulcerative colitis, celiac disease and Crohn’s - Cardiovascular and metabolic issues - high blood pressure, high cholesterol, diabetes, trouble losing weight - Pain - joint pain, inflammation, arthritis, headaches and migraines - Hormonal issues such as PCOS, PMS, estrogen dominance and hot flashes - Skin issues like eczema, psoriasis, acne, rashes - Anxiety and depression
