It is necessary to provide requested data in a timely manner. Our work for the client in concert with taxing agencies requires a great degree of cooperation with these agencies to provide an outcome mutually acceptable to the client and agency. 2. Time is of the essence. Tax notices must be responded to quickly to favorably resolve issues and mitigate additional problems. Notices should never be ignored. 3. Elapsed time on tax problem cases is often longer than clients expect. This due to the response times of taxing agencies. 4. Powers of Attorney are specific to a client's tax matters and do not apply to non-tax or civil matters. 5. Requests for transcripts, records, and/or freedom of information acts are made to assure our clients we have complete information pertaining to their case. 6. We will handle conversations with the IRS and other taxing agencies. The client will not be required to talk to or deal with agents unless they desire to do so and with the understanding their contact may result in an adverse result to the resolution process. 7. Signatures on all agreements with the IRS or other agencies will be done by the client. The Power of Attorney permits us to negotiate an agreement on your behalf but, your acceptance of the agreement is formalized by your hand. 8. Billing is done on a retainer basis. The estimate of our fees can fluctuate as a case evolves, in some engagements, due to unforeseen developments. The client will be informed in advance of any changes required of their fee. 9. Retainers are non-refundable; therefore clients are strongly directed to support our efforts in a timely and businesslike fashion. Failure to to so may result in our withdrawal from the client's case and our retainers will be deemed earned and non-refundable. 10. Scheduled appointments must be rescheduled by the client prior to the appointment to avoid missed appointment fees. This policy is necessary in order for our firm to engage new clients in the missed appointment time-frame. 11. Clients may receive calls from our office from other members of our staff to expedite the resolution of a client's case. 12. Contacting the client. The client authorizes our firm to use the phone numbers, emails, and fax numbers to communicate with the client. 13. Clients will disclose in writing all information pertaining to their case independent of our firm's having asked for the information. 14. Confidentiality; any information the client provides is confidential and any disclosures are deemed privileged and that fact will be noted on all interview/data forms. This form has been reviewed and is understood by the undersigned. ______________________________________________________ _______________________ Client Signature Date
