We were in the middle of a basement remodel and hired Birdland Builders to perform the wiring and plumbing work. The owner Tim made himself available quickly after submitting my request on Thumbtack and got me a proposal turned around quickly as well. They weren't the cheapest quote we got for the work, but we decided to hire them because of Tim's immediate knowledge of what we needed done and recommendations he made to keep us in line with our budget. I communicated to him that I was ready to make a decision immediately and signed a contract with him the next day. He said he had a few other jobs going on, but that they would be there to start the next day. The next day came and so did Birdland. Tim and his employees showed up every time they said they were going to show up throughout the 2 weeks they were working. Not to offend anyone in the contracting world, but given the nature of various projects and unforeseen project challenges, that's an extreme rarity. These guys do what they say they are going to do when they say it will happen. This was a great experience and I wish we had hired them for more of the work we had to get done (i.e.: framing, drywall, etc already contracted with another company). Scope of work: - re-wired entire basement that had several "harryhomeowner" wiring that needed to be corrected, new runs for outlets in office, playroom, bathroom, bedroom - installed recessed lighting - installed bathrooms on exhaust fan - installed rough ins for basement bathroom addition - included toilet, washer dryer hookups, shower drain, vanity, and ejector pit in floor - replaced sagging drain line from kitchen disposal (not part of original scope but they found the problem and fixed it for time and material). - ran electrical fr dryer and exhaust for dryer vent. - gave me SEVERAL recommendations and tips as a young homeowner on DIY things I could do to make things look great when my other contractor gets things finished.

The job estimate request was initially for replacing drywall after having my basement waterproofed. After I submitted my request I was contacted by Tim introducing himself and his company and asking if I wanted to schedule a free estimate, I asked if he had any availability the next day and he did I set the appointment and Tim came out and was early for the appointment while there I asked to add painting the walls after completed and he had no issues accommodating my request. I also advised I may be interested in replacing the floor also since I had to take the carpet out due to the water damage. He took measurements for everything and was able to give me an estimate for the replacing of the drywall and painting, he also gave me a separate estimate for the flooring due to my request due to concern on cost and possibly having to do that at a later time, since I had just had the basement waterproofed. I had both estimates the next day and I had discussed possible options for the flooring with Tim I sent him a few pictures of what I was thinking and he went and got me samples that were pretty much an exact match of what I had sent him the same day. I ask a lot of questions and I am a bit indecisive Tim was more than happy to assist me every step of the way, I received fast responses to all of my questions and Tim was very helpful in getting me the information I needed about the different materials and functionality to what I wanted to accomplish in my basement. I ended up deciding to go with the Drywall, painting the whole basement, and replacing the entire floor through Birdland Builders. There was no other choice in my opinion due the stellar customer service I received before I had even signed the contract. The same level of customer service was still present after I signed the contract. I can not be more happy with the results my basement looks spectacular and the work was completed in a very timely manor and everything I wanted to be done was completed. The quality of work is amazing and the cost was very affordable. My basement looks better then it did before I had to replace everything and it was pretty much brand new when all this happened. Tim and all the members of his company are very trustworthy, the individuals that I interacted with were very polite and professional and responded to any question I had. I have dealt with many companies in regards to home repairs and I have never received this kind of quality and customer service. I can not stress my level of satisfaction from the beginning with the estimate and the scope of the work was exactly as described no short cuts everything was taken care of and Tim made sure that I was happy with the work. I never had to follow up with anything and I could not appreciate Tim and Birdland Builders for helping me get my basement back. I am so pleased with their work that I wanted to take the time to write this review. I will also let everyone I know about Birdland Builders if they ever need any type of work on their homes. I have already asked Tim to give me two more estimates on two different jobs I want to do in my home one for a new roof and putting new flooring in my hallway. He has already taken the measurements for both and provided me with the estimates. The turn around time is amazing. As I stated several times I could not be any happier with Tim and Birdland Builders I will definitely use this company on any of my projects going forward.

We wound up awarding Tim with a guest bathroom remodel as the deck job was for later on in the year. His pricing was fair and his crew did a great job on the install. I feel that the finish work (trim, caulking, hanging up mirrors, towel bars, etc.) got a little sloppy as they were pressed for time and were scheduled for another site already. I actually had multiple jobs, big and small, that I had discussed with Tim and he seemed interested but to date, I still haven't received bids. This echoes one of the comments previous to mine although I'm not sure why. If we're not ideal clients, I wish he would just say so as opposed to going through the bid process. Bottom line - strong start but communication could be better all around.

Birdland Builders is an excellent company that delivered outstanding craftsmanship to our home. We hired them to install an acoustical ceiling and the results were wonderful. They did an amazing job beginning with explaining all our possible options to following through with great attention to detail. The work crew was trustworthy, courteous and very professional. We highly recommend this company and look forward to using them again for future renovations.

Very happy with the job! Totally gutted and renovated our house from 3rd floor to the basement. Very professional and stayed in contact throughout the entire 3 month process. Gave advice and suggestions throughout the job. The owner even made time on the weekend to install a new front door for my neighbor. We will definitely use them in the future for other projects as well as recommend to others.
