FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Group classes are priced according to time needed for the project. See website for details. Monday Sewing Classes are ongoing and are $18 each for 1.5 hours. Discounts are available for purchasing in bulk. Private lessons are $25/hour with a 2 hour minimum in my home or at your home for an additional $12 travel fee.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
You want to start sewing?! That’s great! I recommend you start with Sewing Machine 101. This class is for beginners of all ages who have never used a sewing machine before or would like a refresher course. This is available as an online video course on my website, but I do offer local 101 classes a couple times a year. We go through all the aspects of the sewing machine and accessories and then apply what we’ve learned by making your first project! After that, you’re welcome to join the Monday Sewing Class or the Friday Night Classes. The Monday Class is a go at your own pace, choose your own project environment. Friday night classes have a specific project everyone works through together with occasional opportunity to choose your own project or go back to make something from a class you weren't able to attend. I also offer Private Lessons, as available. I also have a ton of ideas for what you can make next in my Class Project List available on my website! Check back each quarter as I add more projects to the list. Questions? Contact me! I’m happy to help!
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
