Introduction: Do you have cat behavior problems? I can help! Meow! I'm Wendy Christensen, and I'm here to help you and your cat or cats, and solve whatever cat behavior problems you're experiencing. I help cat owners find effective, practical, doable, cat-friendly, and people-friendly solutions to cat behavior problems of all kinds such as litter box issues, scratching, fighting, counter-cruising, biting, and whatever cat problems you have. I'm the author of the popular cat behavior books, "Outwitting Cats: Tips, Tricks and Techniques for Persuading the Felines in your Life That What YOU Want is also what THEY Want", and "The Humane Society of the United States Complete Guide to Cat Care." I have a lifetime of experience living and working with cats. Whatever cat problem you're experiencing, I can help you solve it! As a lifetime cat owner (and current owner of ten cats), I understand feline behavior. I know how cats think, and how they see the world. I know what cats need and more importantly, what they want. Whether you have one cat or a dozen (or more!), I understand your problems, and I can help. I want you and your cat to be best friends! I've helped lots of people solve their cats' behavior problems. I know how frustrating cat behavior issues can be, and I can help restore happiness and harmony to your human and feline family. I want to help you and your cat! We can talk on the phone or via email. I also do home visits when appropriate.

FAQs

  • What types of customers have you worked with?

Most of my clients are cat owners who love their cats but are seeing cat behavior problems such as litter box misses, scratching, fighting, personality conflicts, destructiveness, etc. These behavior problems can be VERY frustrating -- and can seriously affect the bonds of love and friendship you feel with your cat. First, I ask a lot of questions so I can figure out what's wrong. It's all in the details! After thinking the problem through and considering alternatives, I give the client lots of tips and options -- practical advice on things he can do, stop doing, change, or add to the cat's environment to help solve the problem. I usually prescribe a mix of immediate changes and longer-term environmental changes to solve the problem and insure that it won't re-occur.

  • What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

Be willing to work WITH your cat behavior consultant -- and be willing to make the changes she suggests. And always, always: be patient and understanding with your cat! Never punish your cat for misbehaving -- punishment just doesn't work with cats, and often makes a bad situation worse.
