For several years my son, Mike, has been a patient/resident of a Crestview FL nursing home. He has serious physical issues, as a result of a stroke. However, he suffered very minor brain function damage and his mind is sharp. Mike's main contact with his friends and the outside world is through his computer. But, a couple of months ago, Mike was no longer able to access the internet, due to problems with his PC and problems with the facility's wi-fi system. We live in North Carolina and were not familiar with any IT service companies in the Crestview area. By a random selection from several Internet web sites, on 10/05/15 we contacted Roy Semone at Come 2U Computers to see if they could fix Mike's problems. That random selection turned out to be a great choice. Roy immediately went to the nursing home and fixed Mike's computer. However, he was unable to get Mike back on line, because the facility's wi-fi system was still down and the facility's local maintenance people were unable to get it up and running. Roy then went, in my opinion, over and beyond normal service expectations and demonstrated a genuine concern for a customer. He contacted the IT techs at the nursing home's parent headquarters, discussed the wi-fi problem with them and made recommendations to show them how to get the system running again. This involved another trip to the facility for Roy, but the problem was resolved and the wi-fi system hasn't gone down since. All of this was done at a very reasonable cost and I HIGHLY recommend this company. Roy also offers a very reasonable monthly contract service, which allows him to remotely service computers, without having to physically make a service call to customer locations. Give Roy a call. My standard price is $30 an hour for general services.
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
When a customer or client call me with their computer problem I will spend some time on the phone trying to asses the situation before I even go to provide the service. The more info I have about the problem the less time I would need to fix the problem which saves them money.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have been working with computers for 20+ years. While in the military I also was in charge of all of the computers in my office to ensure they worked at peek performance. I have had thousands of hours keeping my household electronic devices which has more than 20 computers, 4 smart phones (Iphone & Android), 6 tablets (Iphone & Android), chrome-cast & apple tv. So I am well trained in various types of devices.
