As a documentary filmmaker, I approach filming weddings, events, and promotional videos by observing and capturing authentic moments. When watching video, people can feel what's genuine and truthful, and what's forced and fake. My goal is to be discrete yet intimate in my filming and then precise in my editing and use of music. My style allows me to provide couples with an accurate and engaging story of the day through high quality video and sound.
I love documenting wedding days. Photos inspire couples to have memories sparked, but videos allow couples to re-live their wedding day, which flies by in an emotional and exciting blur. It's amazing to be a part of preserving something so personal and special.

Dan recorded key sessions of the Annual meeting of VOSH/International (Volunteer Optometric Services to Humanity) held in November, 2014 in Denver. In addition he created a 3 minute promo for the 2015 annual meeting scheduled for New Orleans in the Fall.
Dan brings exceptional technical knowhow and understanding of the creative process. he works to make things as perfect as possible and has a flair for presenting his finished product with editing until the creative an informational goal is achieved,. He is easy to work with in all phases of production planning, execution and post production and understands his assignments very well indeed.
Dan has great upside potential and a solid foundation that will serve his clients well. He needs to assure that he continues to be alert to motivated camera changes called for in presentations. But on the whole his final product is of a high quality.

Dan was the editor and a camera operator for our documentary film, Strong Sisters. His camera work was excellent - both for the interviews and for the b-roll he shot for us. Dan was reliable and showed the proper respect and professionalism at our interviews.
But Dan's real impact was as our editor. He worked closely with us to filter 76 interviews into a 70-minute documentary. Dan was instrumental in finding the right quote to move the story forward. He worked with us to improve the flow of the story, add elements like graphics and archival video and photos, and pace the film so that is wasn't too slow or overwhelming. Dan went above and beyond an editor's responsibilities, supporting the project with new ideas and taking on the odd jobs that need to happen with this kind of independent film. His input was incredibly valuable and he was a pleasure to work with. He could be trusted to represent our project professionally and to work independently with our post-production team and other contractors. Any film or video project will benefit from his participation on the team.
