Introduction: I have been doing art since 1981, had taught at the art academy for about 13 years, experienced in many mediums and techniques. It is a great reward to see the portrait comes alive from a blank canvas, and seen the soul of the subject is captured in the painting, the biggest reward would be the smile on the commissioners face when they received the artworks.

I commissioned Z to draw a portrait of my brother, and he did a fantastic job of capturing his character. Z worked off of photos and having briefly met my brother during his later stages of cancer. My sister in law now cherishes the portrait, keeping it in view from kitchen and dining room. In addition his other works are museum quality.

My wife and I commissioned Zimou to create two original paintings for our short film (bythewatersofleman.com). One he had to complete in 48 hours and the other in 2 months. Both exceeded our expectations and were such beautiful works of art. Seeking a very specific style and feel, Zimou not only understood what we wanted but was so in tune with the spirit of the short film he perfectly created a romantic and ageless tone without having been to the set or seen footage. He is truly dedicated and passionate about his craft. I highly recommend Zimou for any work of art.
