Introduction: Violin: I teach students on all levels. I prepare them for orchestra auditions as well as ABRSM exams. Mathematics: I'm currently a math grad student. I teach all levels math: algebra, trigonometry, precalculus, calculus, real and complex analysis etc. Math: I love to help people understand math concepts and help them get to the point when they enjoy the challenge and don't feel intimidated by it. Violin: I love connecting with people through music. Playing an instrument is one of the most rewarding activities and I feel really blessed that I can help my students develop love and appreciation for music. Often they start taking lessons hoping to be able to play one of their favorite songs and it's exciting for me to assist them in their way to achieving that goal. That moment, when their initial dream is fulfilled, is magical.

Ela made quite a trek to come over to Palo Alto to teach me. She is very patient and easy going which removes the stress of learning and makes the student enthusiastic about practicing. She is quite willing to work with the student on their interests with respect to the violin. I highly recommend her as a teacher for the novice violin learner.

Ela has been my violin teacher for the past two months and it has been wonderful. She is very patient and understanding. I have not once felt that the violin is one of the most difficult instruments to learn. Ela quickly understands the various difficulties i face while playing and also comes up with solutions to get past those. She is very encouraging and deterministic in making sure that i learn everything correctly (unlike a lot of tutors) and patiently waits for me to perfect things. I am really glad to have her as my Tutor.

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
$60 for an hour long lesson if I commute to my students address, $50 - if a student comes to my place.
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
We meet for a violin lesson. I explain the basics of playing the violin and detail which method books I'm using. It's also an opportunity for me tho learn what my potential student is interested in achieving - whether they just want to learn for themselves or plan to join an orchestra or a band etc. I provide photocopies needed for the first lesson, so that potential students don't need to bring any method books for their first lesson.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have a master's degree in musical performance from the Academy of Music in Krakow, Poland.
