Alex Gendron

Introduction: My name is Alexandre Gendron and I'm a performer, teacher, and composer with over 15 years of experience in teaching piano lessons. I graduated from U.S.F. Cum Laude with a degree in Piano Performance with an emphasis in Piano Pedagogy (education). My teaching style is adaptive and is developed to fit the personality and learning style of the student. After talking with the student (and parents if student is not yet an adult) about any prior music training and what their goals and interests are, I develop a specific, individualized curriculum for that student. Learning to read music, technique, music theory, performance prep, improvisation, composition, practice regimen, and ear training are some of the subjects taught in our piano lessons. I teach students of all ages! I have taught piano to students as young as 4 and as old as 71 years old. I have also worked with special needs students with autism and/or learning disabilities. I love working with these students too because they have such amazing minds and capabilities and I love bringing out their musical talent that the world may not have gotten to know otherwise. As a teacher, my goal is for the students to realize their goal. I look forward to hearing from you.
