FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
I charge $70 per hour. Every session is one hour long. I offer a package rate $240 for 4 sessions plus the drive fee. The package deal drops the rate to $60. I charge a minimum drive fee of $5, up to $20 for me to drive to farther distances. I estimate the fee for you so there are no surprises when we meet. I am flexible in working with more than one dog during the hour since many homes have more than one dog(s) that need training and will split the session into 30 mins each per dog. I also offer a 30 min training session for the younger dogs that tend to have a hard time focusing for $35 plus the drive fee.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Most of my clients call or email me. I get back to them as soon as possible and answer as many of their questions as possible. Speaking over the phone is the quickest way for me to get all the information I need in order for us to set up a time and day for me to train with you and your dog(s),
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I attended Animal Behavioral College and received a certificate as a certified dog trainer in 2009. Prior to that I worked at a kennel during high school introducing me to dog breeds and behaviors. As the years progressed I work for different pet stores adding knowledge of dogs with proper care and nutrition. I also worked a few veterinarian hospitals rounding out my canine education so that it seemed natural for me to take the next step to become a certified dog trainer. My newest achievement is that I became an evaluator and now offer training classes and testing for your dog to obtain their AKC Canine Good Citizen.
