Jerrod installed a cat door, fixed a bathroom vanity drawer, and assembled a bathroom cabinet. He is coming back later this week to install cabinet and put door pulls on all my kitchen cabinets. He was professional, nice, informative, and fairly priced. I'm impressed with his work and work ethic. I recommend him with no reservations. I plan to hire him to complete other jobs as well.

    Gutter Cleaning and Maintenance

We needed the open gutters cleaned out on the house we just moved into, and they had clearly not been cleaned out in years! Jerrod was prompt, prepared, and efficient. In addition to the work we needed done, Jerrod inspected the other gutters to make certain they were still clear. He is courteous and professional. We recommend him, and will use his service again.

I needed a new back door installed, some water damage on my breezeway floors and some weather proofing and a window replaced. He gave me a great estimate, ( he did his homework on pricing for what I needed as far as supplies needed for the job) Bucks handyman was here on time with all the equipment he needed. He was courteous and professional. He finished the job in the time he allotted for the work. He cleaned up when he was finished. I am very happy with the job that he did and I will call again for other jobs and I would highly recommend him to my friends and to others ! Sandi Zerns

Jerrod put in a new dining room floor for my friend, who recommended him to me. I had a great experience with this handyman. After contacting him, Jerrod got back with me in a timely manner, worked quickly and efficiently, was knowledgable, and very reasonably priced. I will be using him again when I need work done and would definitely recommend him to anyone!

feeling a little disappointed at the fact that we needed him to come back and finish up what needed to be done and he hasn't responded to the emails I have sent.

Jerrod is amazing. If I could give him 6 stars I would. My wife and I could not be happier with the repairs that he did on our house. We moved into a house that we purchased a little over a week ago and quickly found about 15 things that were not right with it that were outside of my handyman abilities. Thankfully, we found Jerrod/Buck's Handyman Services. He re-installed windows, replaced walls, gave our mantle a facelift, re-installed all of our toilets, fixed sinks, and these are just a few of the things that he did for us. Overall, we couldn't be happier and we will definitely be calling him again when we accumulate another list of things to fix. And, watching him work taught me a lot of new skills. He explained everything he did and let me sit in on each job, now I feel like I will be able to fix some of those same issues in the future. If you're looking for a skilled, affordable, and trustworthy handyman, Jerrod is your guy.

I just purchased a home and had many odds and ends to tackle. Being a single woman, I wasn't sure about working with a handyman I had never met, but I also needed the help. Thumbtack helped me find Buck's Handyman Services and I was thoroughly impressed. Jerrod was polite, professional and extremely helpful. He was willing and able to do everything on my list which was a load off my mind. I would highly recommend Buck's Handyman Services. In fact I've already given his number to my parents and best friend.

Jerrod had done some drywall repair work for us and also a complete restore of our cedar picnic table. I cannot say enough about how great he was. He was extremely diligent with getting back to us in a timely manor, extremely reasonable with pricing, kind, considerate, and the quality of work was impeccable. I highly recommend hiring this man if you need any handyman, repair work done.

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Typically, I charge only $25 per hour for my services, depending on the difficulty level of the task. Most times, I can take a look at the project and can give a solid quote based on how long the project will take to finish.
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Typically, I like to talk to my customer via phone to help get a good idea of what it is I can do for them. Next, we arrange a time to meet so that I can see the project, then it's off to getting whatever supplies that are needed and working at the task.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have 7 years experience in rough and finish carpentry and handyman related jobs, which began in college, where I took Construction Remodeling and earned a level one and level two certification through the NCCER.
How did you get started doing this type of work?
Actually, it was my Mother! When I was a young child, my parents purchased a fixer upper for us to live in. My mother is a self taught carpenter and can handle most other household repair projects. While growing up I helped my mother with various repair projects and builds on the house. That great experience inspired me to take Construction Remodeling in college.
What types of customers have you worked with?
I have worked with customers ranging from corporate business owners, to little old ladies, to busy parents. Some are in need of my expertise and some just don't have the time to do things, so they give me a call to assist them in their projects.
Describe a recent project you are fond of. How long did it take?
I recently refurbished an older cedar picnic table for a family that had enjoyed it for many years. At initial inspection, it seemed only a few things needed to be worked out, but after taking it apart, I found that it needed a vast amount of repair to make it an acceptable table. Sadly, I had to give them the news. They decided to have me do anything needed to bring that old table back to life, which I happily did. The project took longer than I originally expected (and a lot more elbow grease!), but when I brought that table back to the family, it was a table fit for years of enjoyment to come and they were elated!! Seeing the smiles on their faces made all the extra hard work worth every effort.
