Introduction: I came up pretty tuff. Poor, raised with a step father, in and out of hospitals, musician, bar tender -you name it. But, it gave me a good prospective from people too poor to eat all around to the people at the Boat Clubs.My Sobriety date is November 19, 1995.I have been there. So I have a feeling for little children in divorces broken homes and so on..I was there before the law came to punish spouse and even child abusers. I know how hard it is to kick a habit; thy to exist because one spouse would not pay child support. I have lived through probating of family member's estates and the good and bad side of people. I have fought with and against creditors;saved houses and cars in Bankruptcies, including the credit card people. Through all of this I have a pretty good feel for what some clients are going through, especially when you are down to surviving on your faith. Though all these years I have learned to sometimes be sympathetic and sometimes be the coach always knowing that it is a lot easier to set behind the desk and give advise than to be in front of the desk hearing the advise. I get to use all that training to actually try and help people and when I cannot help enough, I can usually find someone or a source that that at least help.
