What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
My standard fee is 40.00/hour. I do not bill insurance. However, for those that are serious, I do not want money to be a reason someone doesn't seek counseling; we can work with that.
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
LISTENING.It's not enough just to hear what my client has to say. Sometimes a correct assessment isn't made because a counselor doesn't LISTEN to what the client is TRYING to say or mean. In my experience and observation, most people know what they need or want; sometimes they just don't know how to say it or ask for it.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
My B.S. Degree is in Ministry. I have been counseling others for over 25 years. I have been a Youth Pastor, have been involved in Jail Ministry, Recovery Ministry and have experience in dealing with a wide range of issues including drug, alcohol and sexual addiction. I am currently obtaining my Masters in Addiction Counseling.
