- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
The short answer is no, as I stress that all projects should be collaboratively scoped with the client and project milestones and interim project deliverables are defined at the outset of the engagement. This provides the client a high degree of confidence that they always have the option to redirect the project's terms and conditions, including monitoring progress, acceptance of deliverables and project cost. If the engagement is a classic consulting project, such as a business or marketing plan, the cost is a negotiated fixed priced. When working with individuals on career or life coaching I charge a negotiated hourly rate. For resume writing, I charge a fixed price for a professionally developed resume, with additional costs for cover letters, etc.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
1) Understand the client's business and goals and objectives for the engagement. This is usually done via phone and email. 2) Draft an outline scope of work for client review, input and confirmation. 3) Quote project via a fully-developed proposal. The process can be done in person on via phone and email.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have an MBA in High Technology Operations and have taken numerous undergraduate and graduate level courses in marketing, strategy development, operations management, financial analysis, human capital development and economics. I frequently participate in Web-based training and training events and seminars.
